Triangle AIO TWIN Turntable Package Announced
Triangle has announced its AIO TWIN of active connected speakers and a turntable made in collaboration with Pro-Ject to create an easy-to-use modern compact playback system.
Triangle's AIO TWIN speakers and matching Pro-Ject-based turntable offers a neat package for the budding audiophile that promises Gallic chic and ease of use in equal measure.
The Triangle AIO Twin speakers sport Bluetooth 5.0 aptX enabling simple smart device streaming. Meanwhile, Wi-Fi allows you to stream your songs in high-resolution (24 bits / 192 kHz) via the free Triangle AIO app for iOS and Android, which connects to any of your subscribed streaming services as well as the music stored on your devices or your home network.
You can also add the AIO TWIN to the rest of your networked AIO devices and, using LinkPlay, control the streaming in each room, adjust the sound level, tweak the tone controls or pair your speakers with each other directly from the app. You also have unlimited access to all the internet radio stations around the world via TuneIn.
Pushed along by a 2x50 W RMS Class-D amplifier, AIO TWIN uses Triangle's 25mm silk dome tweeter with neodymium magnets and a 13cm driver featuring a concave membrane in treated paper with no dust cap to increase rigidity, enabling the entire woofer surface to be used. We are told that its partial horn loading of the tweeter reduces reflections. Notably, just as all other Triangle products, each component is designed and developed in the brand's French factory in Soissons.
The Triangle AIO TWIN is available in a wide choice of finishes – neutral, coloured, or more traditional and feature aluminium feet fitted with rubber pads. Triangle has partnered with Gabriel to manufacture its grilles for several years, and the grille of the AIO TWIN is crafted from Gabriel's Bond textile, we're informed.
Vinyl fans will appreciate the integrated MM Phono preamplifier that enables you to connect a turntable. Furthermore, Triangle has partnered with Austrian manufacturer Pro-ject to develop a turntable designed exclusively to complement the AIO TWIN speakers. Of course, the turntable can be included in a colour-matched package.
Featuring an MDF top, aluminium tonearm and an Ortofon OM-10E cartridge, this turntable completes a plug and play Hi-Fi system with the AIO TWIN. Additionally, Triangle suggests connecting the Tales 340 subwoofer for that low-frequency foundation.
The AIO TWIN speakers are now available in Graphite Black, Frosted White, Linen Grey, Abyss Blue, priced at €699. A Maple wood veneer finish will be available from September 2021 for €799.
The Triangle by Pro-Ject Turntable + AIO TWIN package is €999 for the colour-matched finishes and €1,099 for the wood veneer speakers and black turntable.
