Recently I embarked on this project with bro Synthesis, to build a KEF R300 on-wall speaker. I needed to wall mount my LR speakers due to young kid at home and free up floor space, but KEF didn't have off-the-shelf on-wall options for the R-series.

I want to say a big thank u to:

- bro Synthesis for the great work he did and his creativity in making it as sleek as possible even though the drivers had a long depth.

- bro Desray who had opened up his house some years ago to let me experience what a small R-series bookshelf, if set up properly, can do in a HT setup.

- bro wechnivag who gave super valuable advice on the DIY project, truly a gongfu master in the technicalities of sound and gear.

Rewinding.... In the recent 2 years, as some of u may know, I've switched to a MUCH simpler wall-mounted HT setup (KEF 3005SE eggs + Q series centre) due to young kid at home. Initially, I thought I would experience a big drop in HT experience. But I was so wrong, although the KEF eggs speakers were small in size, I was TOTALLY BLOWN by what KEF could do with small speakers. So, this convinced me to decide on the R-series as my next project.

Below are more pics of the DIY project :) Reviews will be coming soon after I do a more thorough calibration and testing.

Just want to encourage bros who have apprehensions of going DIY, that it can be a wonderful journey to suit your needs at a low cost. And bro synthesis workmanship is superb
