What percentage of your LPs/CDs are "audiophile?"

Recommended Posts

"Audiophile " as in labels like AP, Classic Records, MOFI, Telarc, Speakers Corner, Tone Poet series etc and also discs that may not be pressed by audiophile labels but are typically sourced by audiophiles primarily for their outstanding sound quality. Eg  Eva Cassidy, Patricia Barber, Jacintha etc etc

Let me start. Mine is roughly 5% for CDs and 10% for vinyl

Less than 10% for me. I usually buy what I like to listen to, and they are usually non-audiophile.

I've learned not to waste money on tok-kong audiophile discs that end up sitting on my shelf.

Some of my titles from non audiophile CDs turn out to be audiophile vinyls. I only know all the expensive so called audiophile CDs I bought in late 80s sound crap now. Most of the audiophile labels in 90s have disappeared. I will be cautious to label Mofi recordings as audiophile.
