Hi friends,

 

I am helping/ volunteering to coordinate a group buy pre-order for this upcoming exciting headphone product to help interested bros to save cost and enjoy local warranty.

 

This is THE SURROUND/ ATMOS HEADPHONE to look out for movies. Supports ATMOS/ DTSX and the surround sound field is not virtual but real directional.

 

The JVC XP-EXT1 uses JVC's proprietary EXOFIELD out-of-head localization sound field processing technology to allow headphone users to experience the full effect of multi-channel sound sources, including Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®.

 

The best thing is it doesn't need to connect to PC to work and it can connect to your HT system via HDMI/ optical.

 

I managed to link up with a local supplier, who prefer to be anonymous until payment is made.

EXPECTED RELEASE DATE OF PRODUCT:

July/ Aug 2020

 

 

USUAL RETAIL PRICE

Normal expected retail price / MSRP: Euros$1,000 + GST/tax + shipping = apprx SGD$1,650-$1,750. Unlikely with warranty if u ship in from overseas

 

 

GROUP BUY PRE-ORDER PRICE/DEAL:

MO end date: 1 June 2020 11pm

 

Eventual price depends on how many people we have. Stock might be limited. Priority given to those who signed up first in event of limited stock and to much demand.

 

1) Quantity 3-6 pieces - S$1498.00 , includes free delivery to doorstep within Singapore. Comes with 1 year local warranty.

 

2) Quantity 7 pieces & above = S$1391.00, includes free delivery to doorstep within Singapore. Comes with 1 year local warranty.

 

 

PAYMENT DETAILS:

- 20% deposit per set for your order to be placed

- Vendor will refund 100% of the 20% deposit if they are unable to secure any stock by Sep 2020

- Full payment upon delivery

- Payments made directly to vendor

 

 

PROJECTED TIMELINE:

- 1 Jun - confirm participants for the MO [done]

- 2 Jun - place order with vendor [done]

- 5 Jun  - vendor checks with JVC on additional stock required, and place order with JVC. [done]

- 17 Aug - Vendor just highlighted he has not received any news yet from JVC factory on stock coming in to SG although online vendors are starting to receive stock.

- 24 Sep - Quick update. The vendor just updated that JVC can't give them a definite date when SG would receive the stocks, even though many online shops are beginning to get theirs. To be fair to everyone, if anyone of us wish to go ahead to get it from online stores e.g. Amazon Japan, please do go ahead. But we do hope you can stay for the MO so that the minimum qty to get the special price tier is still there. And there's local warranty. If anyone has any other supplier who can get local stock and offer a similar/better price, and have local warranty, please let me know.

- 15 Nov - Quick Update. Vendor updated that they still can't get stock. If anyone wants to go ahead and get it yourselves, please feel free to but keep me informed so that I know to count you out for the eventual deal. Thanks! 

- Once JVC replies and ca secure the order, all MO buyers to pay the deposit to the vendor

- Aug/ Sep (delayed) - projected product arrival to SG + Delivery + Remaining payment to be made

- Oct (delayed)- refund from vendor if they cannot get the stock by then

I've contacted the vendor with the list we have now and awaiting his instructions.

Quick update. The vendor has submitted our order request to secure the additional stock and awaiting JVC's reply.

 

He will update us once JVC replies and confirms the stock. After that then we pay deposit to him.

 

So please pray that he is able to secure enough stock for all of us at that special rate! :)

Users review in jap seems very positive. And compare them to the Sony hw700ds which was very useful as a benchmark

Seems like quite positive. They say better than hw700ds. But the only gripe by everyone so far is the price point. Well it's much cheaper than the smyth! :)

Bro, I've made up my mind to drop out from this MO. Firstly it is taking too long and now this dealer cannot even guarantee that it will get stock from JVC. To me, it only shows how weak our market is. I hope others stay on for as long as you can...But I'm out for now. Sorry.
