SGX50X
This seems to be the more recent exchange on turntables. The Fluance RT85 arrived today, within 4 days from purchase. Looking forward to setting it up. Anyone else has experience wuth Fluance? Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk

wizardofoz
I picked up an RT84 for fun to play with...ok for starter TT. Not measured the wow on it tho...hardest part for wow is placing the phone in a center balanced position so as not to unbalance the platter and skew the results. Best to use a test record and frequency track with an app.

Joseph Lazaroo
Best reading on my Technics, 33.33RPM, wow 0.03+/-% :) Looks like all your guys are testing the Wow/Flutter with no load, just free wheel. The best out come are the direct drives. Which are false, test it on load with a test record you will find the Direct Drive TT (Technicis ,Denon etc) are the worst in the lot. To test use any recording not necessary a test record a contactless rpm counter make a measurement on load you be surprise the Apps are just toys to play with. A good example is the Dr,Feickert Apps with their test record of 1500Hz.

Joseph Lazaroo
[embed=425,349] [/embed] Yap! If you have that type of setup. But most us or all of us do not have that type of set up. Unless you work for local company like Philips.

Joseph Lazaroo
hmmmmm... rpm +/-% w/f% mine says 33.77 +1.32 017 ??? ??? ??? That's quite ok! running fast your turntable sound lively. As seen on Linn LP12 as they purposely set it on a slightly high speed to have some liveliness. That listeners feel the turntable is lively and energetic.
