Saycheese78
[/img] I feel audio set up is not all about sound, but also contains elements of aesthetic, adaptation (children pets) and affordable tricks. Glass panel allow use of remote control. Lets use this post to share pic of our set up and tips. For mine 1. Ikea cabinet to keep out children's hands, especially disasters associated with volume button. 2. Wall hooks to organise cables and lift them off the ground. 3. The large speaker bamboo base seem to affect audio so i may tear it down.
Hass
Idea mdf is too soft. If u looking for a replacement, look for something a little stiffer.... it should have a nice knock n ringing after sound when u give it a hard knuckle knock. jeromelang
2. Wall hooks to organise cables and lift them off the ground. This is one of the worst idea ever. Remove the hooks (with its metallic core) immediately and let the cables lay down gently on the floor!!!! ;D
Saycheese78
Ehh what abt plastic hooks?
jeromelang
Plastic is better. No magnetic field interference. But hanging cables exert stress on them. Better just lay them down in a relaxed manner. Less potential tension. Wider frequency extension, more effortless musical flow. Greater dynamic impact. I usually plug in both ends first to lay out the cable routing. Then unplug both ends and let the whole cable lay on the floor. Then pick up one by one and plug in again. It seems to exert less stress on the cables.

While playing, do you need to sort of vent the front to allow ambient air to circulate through to the open back? I also like the glass front idea to enable remote control. My experience was that still air that got hotter around the equipment with longer play time. So in my case I still need to keep glass door open to allow fresh air in while operating. Of course it all depends on how much heat your equipment produce or whether the heat is bearable by design.
