I'm using the Oppo 105 directly to the Emotiva XPA-5 and the sound quality is really good. The two potential negative things about going for this option is that there are limited connections (not an issue for me) and the lag seems higher (affects if you are playing PS3 etc) Do note that if you want to connect direct from the blu ray multi channel outputs to a power amp, it needs to have volume control built in and not many blu ray players have this.

Went to Courts bukit timah to get the panny and seems like there's no such deal for the 50VT30. Looks like the guy who posted on HWZ got the 50st30 instead. $1979+ extended warranty = $2398. Kena fake. The sales staff even showed me that last wk end no 50vt30 sold....
