  1. Lol....also remember to power off the subwoofer. Else you will get a boom boom when u disconnect the sub cable. Sometimes, the poor sub is forgotten when the rest of the eqpt is power off. 😁😁
  2. It's not hard. But I would suggest you use some scotch tape, add a paper and label each wire. Eg "Front LEFT" Then unscrew the binding posts. One suggestion is to add a banana plug so when you get your new AVR, just plug it in. https://blog.kantoaudio.com/tech-tuesday-how-to-connect-speaker-wire-to-a-binding-post/
  3. This is highly dependent on your current equipment. Are they good enough to show the difference? Are you fussy enough to appreciate the difference? Is the difference worth paying several times the price of the Z9X? These could only be answered by yourself. Frankly if you just want the RTD1619 Dolby Vision Engine functionalities, the Z9X would be enough. But if you already own a elaborate video system setup, then build quality matters and only the UHD3000 would do because you would want the better unit to match up. It's fortunate that I happen to have 2 iPhone shot
  4. I have the Evoke 50s. Great speakers. I would describe them as revealing, - good midrange, clear highs, and very extended bass. Sound stage was good with above average stage height and width. Stage depth is average.
  5. Make sure there is no fray speaker cables touching each other after you have inserted them into the AVR. Banana plugs suggested by Pete will eliminate this.
  6. Yah man! Add step 2b. 2b. Switch off power to everything (AVR, sources, TV, subwoofer, amplifier).
  7. This is my advice for you: 1. Take clear photos of the entire back. You may have to take multiple photos from different angles. Capture every single connection & label (ensure it is clear). Keep this as reference. [Take a video of the back panel, slowly panning from left to right may also help] 2. Prepare label & cello tape. 3. Slowly. Carefully. One cable at a time, disconnect, label it, cello tape the label so that the label won’t drop off. 4. Study the new AVR, familiarise yourself with which cable goes where. Read the new
  8. You can try , 1) Main port output video only. 2) Secondary port output Audio only.
  9. Folks, it think its safe to say if you experience nausea, malaise, vomiting, non-specific discomfort, and sleep disturbances in this HT hobby, may I suggest taking up another hobby. πŸ™‚
